Rewards for Causes was created as a hub for local change and movement. Our goal is to help spread awareness for both household names and grassroots nonprofits alike, and to hopefully build a connection to issues that are being tackled in your own backyard. Local causes address a number of pressing issues, including hunger, environmental issues and literacy.

Nick is a true Native Floridian with strong ties to his local community. He is a graduate of Palm Beach Community College & Florida Atlantic University, majoring in International Business.
His volunteer efforts in his community include serving as a tutor for The Palm Beach Literacy Coalition, which provides adult literacy education in the South Florida area. Additional volunteer efforts include organizing The Atlantic Dunes Beach Cleanup in Delray Beach and assisting his brother in raising money for The Karen Slattery Foundation and Big Momma Essie Reed’s Turkey Drive.
He is an active surfer and triathlete, having competed in Escape from Alcatraz Swim & Triathlon in San Francisco.
Nick is passionate about keeping our beaches clean with weekly beach cleanups and is always looking for more volunteers in the Delray Beach area. So, feel free to contact him if you’re interested.
Fran is a long time resident of South Florida and graduate of Florida Atlantic University with BA in Fine Arts, with a focus on graphic design.
Fran is an active member of The Junior League of Boca Raton, a women’s organization dedicated to improving the community through the effective action of trained volunteers. At Junior League, Fran hold the position of chair-elect for The Diaper Bank, which seeks to provide 200,000 diapers to needy families in southern Palm Beach and Broward counties.
Prior to joining Rewards for Causes, Fran held the position as Sales and Marketing Manager for the Premier Club at the Boca Raton Resort.
A devoted mother, Fran is dedicated to make a difference in her community.
Allison is a native Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida with a BS degree in Business Management, with a focus on communications.
She has a strong passion for the environment and is an active eco-diver for Reef Check, an international non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of tropical reef systems. In addition, she was instrumental in the early stages of Ocean Rehab Inc, a non-profit initiative to establish the first baseline for the Florida reef track. She was also the lead writer and public relations expert associated with South Florida environmental issues.
Before starting her own design company, she was the Director of Communications for Preferred Care at Home, a national senior home care franchisor, where she was responsible for managing brand guidelines, coordinating PR events, and hosting franchisee training.
Allison lives in Delray Beach with her husband and Bahamian rescue dog.
Sarah Schelling Peet
Sarah is an estate planning and elder law Attorney with Redgrave & Rosenthal LLP located in Boca Raton, Florida. She has had a spirit of charity and volunteerism since she was young when she began volunteering at nursing homes and soup kitchens. As a young adult, she mentored through Big Brothers/Big Sisters, volunteered with Hands on New Orleans and later Hands on Tampa Bay.
At present, she is an active member of the Junior League of Boca Raton, a women’s organization dedicated to improving the community through the effective action of trained volunteers. Sarah serves on the Done in a Day Committee, which mobilizes large numbers of volunteers for events run by various community organizations. She previously served on the Small Community Projects Committee where she worked hand in hand with the Achievement Center, Best Foot Forward, Twin Palms Center for the Disabled, and Women in Distress.
Sarah is an avid runner and enjoys swimming and the outdoors. She is married and has a sprightly beagle rescue dog, Cooper. She currently resides in Delray Beach, Florida.
Greg was born and raised in Princeton, NJ.
Upon graduating from the College of Wooster, Greg moved to Bethesda, MD. Coming from a family of educators and athletes, Greg continued the tradition as the head of the science department at a private academic institution in Washington, DC, as well having played and coached lacrosse at many levels (post-college, college, highschool, middleschool, and elementary school). In1998, Greg relocated to West Palm Beach, FL.
Since 1996, Greg has been working in the field of finance. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a Chief Operating Office (COO), and most recently as President of Capital Asset Management Group. In addition, Greg has served on the board of directors for the School house Children’s Museum & Learning Center, the board of directors for Northwood Shores Association, and as an Ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
Greg is married and has three children.
Paul is an attorney residing in South Florida since 1980. He earned his bachelor degree from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania in '93, his law degree from Stetson College of Law in '97, and a master of law degree from University of Florida in '98. In addition, Paul attended West Point Academy. Since 1998, Paul has practiced law primarily in Palm Beach County with focuses on estate planning, business planning, asset planning, and litigation. His work has included service as a partner within small boutique law firms, and he began his own practice in 2012.
Paul is a conscientious member of the community with genuine desire to help others where he can. This includes providing free legal services to the poor and less fortunate whenever and wherever possible. He is a member of St. Joan of Arc church in Boca where he resides with his wife and two children.
Jacie is a devoted mother and is very active in supporting and contributing to various non profit organizations, youth programs, and academic institutions. Currently, Jacie serves as Coordinator of Corporate and Continuing Education at Palm Beach State College.
Jacie is a graduate of the Boca Leadership Program, recipient of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Chair’s Award, recipient of First Community Builder Award, and former vice president of the American Association of University Women, Soroptimist International, and The Women’s Club. In addition, Jacie is also very active with the Kiwanis Club, having received “Kiwanian of the Year”, as well as served as Program Director, a board member and Ambassador. She is the founder of the Tubten Kunga Center for Wisdom Culture, a Tibetan Buddhist spiritual center.
During her tenure with Palm Beach State College, Jacie also served as the Transitional Director of the Small Business Development Center and founded the Summer Youth College.
It is her sincere wish that her daughter Felicity follow in her footsteps.
Barry Harley has been in the forefront of the design field for more than 20 years. The founder of Terragenesis –now EYCH2- graduated from the Miami International University of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In addition to running the company, he has also been its creative director since 2001. Barry oversees projects ranging from branding collateral and web design to e-commerce and web presence.
Barry has won several prestigious American Graphic Design Awards, (one of the world’s largest design competitions), including two in 2010 for his work on the Paul Wharton Style website and the SharperCut Landscapes rebranding project. In 2009, he won yet another award for the creation of a green graphic design for Ecocentric Energy Solutions.
His charitable support includes Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Capital area Food bank.
Carlos has called Florida home since 1982. He attended Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton and holds a B.A. from Regis University and a M.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Since his academic years Carlos has worked in the fields of international affairs as well as public policy issues. Internationally, in the early 1990s Carlos worked in Lima, Peru for the Joint Agreement of Cartagena in the Initiative for the Americas. Domestically, he has worked in the political arena as a grassroots consultant for a number of national organizations as well as local, state and national campaigns throughout South Florida.
In 2010 he founded Global Media Commerce Group (GMCG), a social media marketing consulting group focused on assisting small and medium size business owners grow via the social media outlets.
Carlos truly believes that the concept of connecting small business with local charities is a gateway to a prosperous and generous community. Currently Carlos resides in Boca Raton with his wife and daughter and is an active member of Rotary International.
