Rewards for Causes, a social-driven deal website, is giving back to the community with a donation of $1 for every deal (Reward) redeemed during the month of November to local veterans at the Stand Down House.

The Stand Down House helps veterans struggling due to mental and/or physical wounds, addictions, homelessness and other issues regain their lives through a multi-tied program, transitional living, and collaboration with government agencies, veteran service organizations, and the community.

Since its inception in May 2000, more than 2,000 veterans have received support from the Stand Down House. “[Veterans] are living in woods, in tents, and in despair, abandoned…There should be no man left behind,” rallies Stand Down House Founder Roy Foster at his CNN Top 10 Hero Tribute.

Rewards for Causes set a goal of 1,000 redeemed Rewards, resulting in a $1,000 donation to the Stand Down House at the end of the month. Users are encouraged to redeem as many free Rewards as they want to help reach this goal.

“Our mission has always been simple: to bring communities together to help support local causes. We are happy to contribute to the Stand Down House and their continued support to those in need,” says Founder Nick Brusca.

Rewards for Causes is a growing community of people who are using the power of their social voice to support change and be rewarded. Users on the website can browse a growing list of Rewards ranging from spa treatments to dining discounts, and learn how every action creates goodwill for thousands of people in their community. This month, help support local veterans by redeeming a free Reward at www.rewardsforcauses.com.
